Working Groups: Manufacturing Competitiveness

The objectives of the Manufacturing Competitive Working Group are to analyze and benchmark the competitiveness of manufacturing in Ontario against other jurisdictions with whom Ontario competes for mandates and investments. The evaluation includes, but is not limited to, taxes, manufacturing and investment incentives, utility and input costs, productivity, operating costs, benefit compensation frameworks and currency exchange rate sensitivities. The working group may use a reputable external resource to provide specific recommendations at subsequent CAPC meetings. The chair of the working group is Ray Tanguay, Chairman, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc.. Rob Wildeboer, Chairman, Martinrea International Inc., is vice-chair.
